But checking sites using this method has some limitations. Often sites won’t be
\ndisplayed properly & sometimes database connection won’t be established.<\/p>\n

2. Using temporary DNS<\/p>\n

We recommend this method as it is the best way to check your sites.<\/p>\n

To check whether your sites will load fine from the new server, you can follow
\nthe below mentioned steps.<\/p>\n

Basically, you need to add following line in a file named “hosts”.<\/p>\n

\n===========================<\/p>\n

Here xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\u00a0is the IP address of the new server .<\/p>\n

This file is located in different places in different operating systems.<\/p>\n

1. In Linux\/UNIX

\/etc\/hosts<\/p>\n

2. In Windows
\n=============<\/p>\n

C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\drivers\\etc\\hosts<\/p>\n

3. In MAC

After doing this, please load the site ‘http:\/\/domain.tld’ in your browser
