If you want to enable root login alert for your server then you can do the following procedure.<\/p>\n

1.<\/span><\/span> Login to your server and su to root.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>2.<\/span> <\/span>cd \/root<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>3.<\/span> <\/span>pico .bashrc<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>4.<\/span> Scroll to the end of the file then add the following:
<\/span>echo ‘ALERT – Root Shell Access (YourserverName) on:’ `date` `who` | mail -s “Alert: Root Access from `who | cut -d”(” -f2 | cut -d”)” -f1`” <\/span>you@yourdomain.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Replace <\/span>YourServerName <\/span>with the handle for your actual server
Replace <\/span>you@yourdomain.com<\/span><\/a> with your actual email address<\/p>\n

<\/span>5.<\/span> <\/span>Crtl + X<\/span> then <\/span>Y<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
