1) Open Thunderbird. On the Tools menu, select \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Account Settings\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n

2) Click on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Add account\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or press Alt+A.<\/p>\n

3) Select \u00e2\u20ac\u0153e-mail address\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and press next.<\/p>\n

4) Type in your name and the e-mail address.<\/p>\n

5) In this dialog box, Select POP and enter the address for the incoming server. This is usually mail.domain.com (where domain stands for your domain name).<\/p>\n

(Deselect the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Use Global Inbox\u00e2\u20ac\u009d checkbox \u00e2\u20ac\u201c it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a royal pain if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got multiple accounts).<\/p>\n

6) Set the incoming username. It is either your username (from username@domain.com<\/a>) or username+domain.com<\/p>\n

7) Set the name to whatever you like.<\/p>\n

8) Verify all the details and press finish.<\/p>\n

9) Click on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Server Settings\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for the account and under security settings, select the radio button which says \u00e2\u20ac\u0153TLS\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n

10) Then back to the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Account Settings\u00e2\u20ac\u009d dialog box. <\/p>\n

11) Scroll down and select \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Outgoing Server (SMTP)\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

12) Click on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Add\u00e2\u20ac\u009d if you haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t already added any. Otherwise click on edit.<\/p>\n

13) Set the server name to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153mail.domain.com\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n

14) Set the username (username@domain.com) and the default port setting is 25.<\/p>\n

15) Click OK
