To do this you already have to install the nagios on your server<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pre-requisites:<\/strong> nagios-plugins, nagios-nrpe-server<\/p>\n<p>If you dont have the pre-requisites install those by using the reference mentioned below.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">To install nagios refer this :<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pheonixsolutions.com\/nagios-remote-host-monitoring\/\">https:\/\/blog.pheonixsolutions.com\/nagios-remote-host-monitoring\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">To add the host in nagios monitoring server follow the given steps:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: <\/strong>Login to the server using ssh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Go to location of\u00a0 \/usr\/local\/nagios\/etc\/servers\/<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> If you want to add some service on the existing one choose the existing host configuration file or create the new config file here i create the new one in the name of sample.conf.<\/p>\n<p><code class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">touch sample.conf<\/code><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Use vi editor or nano editor as you wish here we are using vi editor to edit the config file.<\/p>\n<p><code class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">vi sample.conf<\/code><\/p>\n<p>Define the host name and the service in the config file. Here i have add the host name example and add three services Load, Disk &amp; processes.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">define host {\r\nuse              linux-server\r\nhost_name        example\r\nalias            example\r\naddress              101.101.101.101\r\nmax_check_attempts     5\r\ncheck_period                    24x7\r\nnotification_interval       30\r\nnotification_period         24x7\r\n}\r\n\r\ndefine service{\r\nuse                        generic-service,nagiosgraph\r\nhost_name         101.101.101.101\r\nservice_description     Load\r\ncheck_command          check_nrpe!check_load\r\n}\r\ndefine service{\r\nuse                        generic-service,nagiosgraph\r\nhost_name         101.101.101.101\r\nservice_description      Disk\r\ncheck_command           check_nrpe!check_disk\r\n}\r\n\r\ndefine service{\r\nuse                       generic-service,nagiosgraph\r\nhost_name        101.101.101.101\r\nservice_description     Processes\r\ncheck_command          check_nrpe!check_procs\r\n}<\/pre>\n<p>copy paste the code in config file change the hostname &amp; alias as your hostname and address as your domain ipaddress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Save the file and close the editor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> Do the syntax check using this command.<\/p>\n<p><code class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\"> \/usr\/local\/nagios\/bin\/nagios -v \/usr\/local\/nagios\/etc\/nagios.cfg<\/code><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the syntax check is ok.
