How to install Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate for Bitnami WordPress on Linux<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Date: 02-09-2020<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Step – 1:<\/strong> Connect to your server or VM instances as root via SSH.
#ssh root@your server IP and port<\/code><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Trademark<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Step -2:<\/strong> Enter the following comment and then press enter to generate the SSL Certificate for the domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

# \/opt\/bitnami\/letsencrypt\/scripts\/generate-certificate.sh -m example@gmail.com -d pheonixsolutions.com -d www.pheonixsolutions.com<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:- You need to replace \u201cexample@gmail.com\u201d with your email address and instead of \u201cpheonixsolutions.com\u201d use your domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step – 3:<\/strong> You will be prompted with three different questions, press \u201cY<\/strong>\u201d and then press the Enter button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step – 4:<\/strong> After the SSL certificate configuration, use the following command to open the bitnami.conf <\/strong>file for editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

# nano \/opt\/bitnami\/apache2\/conf\/bitnami\/bitnami.conf <\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step – 5:<\/strong> You can copy and paste the below mentioned three lines on bitnami.conf file. Finally, save and exit the file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RewriteEngine On 
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on 
RewriteRule ^\/(.*) https:\/\/www.pheonixsolutions.com\/$1 [R,L]<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:-<\/strong> You need to replace instead of \u201cwww.pheonixsolutions.com\u201d use your domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step – 6:<\/strong> You will need to restart the apache service for changes to take effect. Please use the following command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

# \/opt\/bitnami\/ctlscript.sh restart apache<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n
