In this article we are going to create a container in OpenVZ server<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. OS template<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Hostname<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. IP address<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Name servers<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Implementation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Step:1 Create a container with an os template. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Note :
    (i) We take the container  ID as 104<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (ii) OS template as ubuntu-18.04-x86_64<\/strong>
    $vzctl create 104 – -ostemplate ubuntu-18.04-x86_64<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 2: Save the container<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ vzctl set 104 – -save –onboot yes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3: Specify the hostname as per your requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $vzctl set 104 – -save – -hostname your_hostname<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 4: Specify the IP address  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u00a0$vzctl set 104 – -save – -ipadd your_IP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 5: Mention the name servers. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $vzctl set 104 – -save – -nameserver IP – -nameserver IP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 6: Save the Number of CPU\u2019s for the particular container as per your requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $vzctl set 104 – -save – -cpus 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 7: Save the RAM for the particular container as per your requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $vzctl set 104 – -save – -ram 4G<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 8: Save the diskspace as per your requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ vzctl set 104 – -save – -diskspace 50G<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 9: Start the container which we have created <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     $vzctl start 104<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 10: Provide the strong password for the container<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $vzctl exec 104 passwd<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 11: Check the status of the container which we have created on OpenVZ server<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
