This blog will help you to install and configure PHP with Nginx on centos7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisite<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Centos version 7, User with Sudo privileges<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Install the EPEL repository<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo yum install epel-release<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Install and start Nginx<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Run the following command to install nginx,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo yum install nginx<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start and enable the service using the below command,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo systemctl enable –now nginx<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Install PHP<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo yum install PHP<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Configure the php<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edit the php.ini file,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo vim \/etc\/php.ini<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find the line & uncomment it and change it to 0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

cgi.fix_pathinfo=0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, edit the php-fpm configuration file,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo vim \/etc\/php-fpm.d\/www.conf<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modify the following lines,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. listen = \/var\/run\/php-fpm\/php-fpm.sock<\/li>
  2. listen.owner = nginx<\/li>
  3. listen.group = nginx<\/li>
  4. user = nginx<\/li>
  5. group = nginx<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Next, start and enable the PHP processor by running the command,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo systemctl enable –now php-fpm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 5: Nginx configuration to process PHP pages<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo vim \/etc\/nginx\/conf.d\/default.conf<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Change the file as seen as below,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Restart the Nginx service to reload the configuration file changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo systemctl restart nginx<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Then you can test the PHP process on the web server by creating the info.php page on \/usr\/share\/nginx\/html.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    And check whether the PHP is processing on the web browser by visiting the following page in a browser<\/p>\n\n\n\n
