It provides interactive dashboards, real-time graphs, and alerting features, making it widely used in DevOps and system administration environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Sudo or root permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Ubuntu 24.04 server<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Procedure:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Step 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Before installing any application, update the package index to ensure the latest versions are used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Step 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Install the necessary dependencies for adding external repositories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo apt install -y apt-transport-https software-properties-common wget<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Add Grafana\u2019s official GPG key to verify package authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo mkdir -p \/etc\/apt\/keyrings
    $ wget -q -O – https:\/\/apt.grafana.com\/gpg.key | sudo gpg –dearmor -o \/etc\/apt\/keyrings\/grafana.gpg<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Step 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Add the official Grafana repository to the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ echo “deb [signed-by=\/etc\/apt\/keyrings\/grafana.gpg] https:\/\/apt.grafana.com stable main” | sudo tee \/etc\/apt\/sources.list.d\/grafana.list<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Update the repository list and install Grafana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo apt update

    Verify service status:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Allow Grafana\u2019s default port (3000) through the firewall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    $ sudo ufw allow 3000\/tcp
    $ sudo ufw reload<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Step 8:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Open a web browser and access:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    http:\/\/IP-adress:3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n
