While creating a subdomain in cPanel, you may encounter the error:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You do not have permission to create subdomains of the server\u2019s hostname<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
This typically occurs when the subdomain you are trying to create matches or falls under the server\u2019s hostname domain, which is restricted by default in Web Host Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cause<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
By default, WHM prevents users from creating subdomains that overlap with the server\u2019s hostname domain for security and configuration reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
