Introduction:

cPanel & WHM allows server administrators to publish news or messages that will be shown to cPanel users when they log in. This can be helpful for sharing maintenance notices, important updates, or announcements.

Prerequisite:

1. WHM login root credentials.
2. You are either the server administrator or a reseller with WHM access
3. Active cPanel user accounts are already created under your WHM/reseller account

Steps to Publish News in WHM

Step1: Login to your WHM account

Step2: Navigate to the News Editor

• In the WHM sidebar, use the search bar and type:
  Modify cPanel & WHM News
• Or manually navigate to:
  Home » cPanel » Modify cPanel & WHM News

Step3: Select the News Category

You’ll see multiple fields corresponding to different types of news. Fill only the sections you want to display. Leave others blank if not required.

• Global cPanel News:
  Displayed on all cPanel dashboards across your server, including reseller clients.
• Global WHM News:
  Shown on the WHM dashboards of all resellers on the server.
• Reseller Customer News:
  Visible to cPanel users created under resellers (not the root WHM users).
• cPanel News:
  Displayed in the cPanel of users created directly by your WHM account (not under resellers).

Step4:  Save Your News

• Once you’ve written your message(s), scroll down and click Save News.
• The selected users will now see this message the next time they log in to their cPanel or WHM interface.
