Roundcube DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED

This issue happens on a newly installed VestaCP due to some bugs. We’ve noticed this happens in Ubuntu 18.04 installation.

If you check the logs, you will see below errors:-

Error: User initialization failed: namespace configuration error: Duplicate namespace prefix: ""

The default namespace found in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf already included the inbox = yes option. So there was no need to include this elsewhere. So lets remove the reference of another file.

Solution:-

We need to remove the reference of below file

$ /etc/dovecot/conf.d/15-mailboxes.conf

Restart dovecot service

$ systemctl restart dovecot
