Introduction

In this section we will see how to transfer the cPanel account from one server to another server using the WHM cPanel transfer tool. This will help us to transfer the complete set-up and installed services and files in a single step.

Prerequisite

1. Source server WHM root access
2. Destination server WHM root access
3. Source & Destination server SSH login details
4. Source & Destination server URL(https://<your ip address>:2087/

Procedure

Step 1:

Using the destination server URL login to the WHM cPanel account.

Step 2:

Go to search bar and enter transfer tool and click the transfer tool

Step 3:

Enter the source server details (IP, SSH port number, password, user details)

Step 4:

After the scan complete select the account that need to be transfer from the source server.

Step 5:

Select the account and click transfer to start the account migration

Once the transfer is complete we need to check the domain by adding the destination server IP in the etc host file in the local server.

Step 7:

Once the website is working fine in local update the DNS with the destination server details.
