Introduction

Rebooting your server from WHM is a simple process. WHM provides both graceful and forceful reboot options to safely restart your dedicated server.

Prerequisites

• Root access to WHM
• Valid login credentials

Implementation

Step 1:
Log into your WHM account.

Step 2:

• Search for “Reboot” in the search bar
• Choose Graceful Server Reboot
• Click Proceed

Note:

• Use Graceful Server Reboot to close user-level processes properly and save data before restarting. This is strongly recommended by cPanel.
• Use Forceful Server Reboot only if the graceful reboot does not work, as it shuts down the server immediately without handling running processes.
