Introduction

You may receive a notification about domain expiration in Plesk, indicating that the domain’s validity period is about to expire. This alert helps ensure timely renewal and prevents service interruption.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Plesk
  • Domain already configured in Plesk

Implementation

Notification Example:

Subject: Domain event notification: The period of validity is about to expire.

The validity period of the domain ‘domainname,’ owned by user account ‘admin’ (contact name ‘xxx’), is about to expire.
The domain and all of its services will be deactivated by Oct 16, 2011 unless the validity period is prolonged.

This indicates that an expiration limit has been set for the domain. You can change this parameter by doing the following steps:

  • Log in to the Plesk control panel.
  • Click Domains, then select the domain for which you received the notification.
  • Go to the “Resource usage” tab, where you can see the “Validity period.” Edit this parameter to whatever you want. You can also mention it as “never expires.”

Conclusion

By updating the validity period in Plesk, you can prevent domain expiration notifications and ensure uninterrupted service.
