How to install AutoSSL for a domain from WHM

Hello!!!Are you managing several domains over hosting? No need to worry about the installation and renewal of SSL certificates for all your domains.
Because here in WHM, you have the option “AutoSSL”.
Once AutoSSL is enabled for a domain, it will install SSL certificates and check the expiry date of the SSL certificate regularly by creating a cron job and renew the certificates automatically.
Okay!!Now Let’s see how to manage AutoSSL in WHM.
Step 1:
Login to your WHM account.
In the Search bar placed on the left, search for the option Manage AutoSSL
(which is under SSL/TLS section) and press Enter.
Step 2:
New interface of Manage AutoSSL will be opened.
Here , you can see a field as “ Providers
“. Click on it. 2 options will be available
- Disabled(To disable AutoSSL)
cPanel
You will have to enable AutoSSL first by choosing the cPanel AutoSSL Provider. So select the cPanel(Powered by XXXX)
option and click on Save
button.
Step 3:
Next, you will find a column as Manage Users
. Click on it
Here, All the user accounts you are managing will be displayed.
Step 4:
To enable AutoSSL for single user, search the user and you will have three options listed alongside the username under the field ” Toggle AutoSSL
“
- Enable AutoSSL
- Disable AutoSSL
- Reset to Feature List Setting
Here, select the option “Enable AutoSSL
” .
Step 5:
To enable AutoSSL for multiple users,
First, select the users on which you want to install AutoSSL by checking the box of each username
Then on the top, you will find the button “Enable AutoSSL on selected 0 users
“. Click on it.
Step 6:
If you want to enable AutoSSL for all the users, you can select the button “Run AutoSSL for All Users
” which is on the top.
It will check and install SSL and enable AutoSSL for all the users.
Step 6:
Once you have enabled AutoSSL for either single user or multiple users, it will take time to install the Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates on the domain.
First, you can check the status of the pending SSL installation jobs of the domains in the “Pending Queue
” column in the interface
If you have enabled AutoSSL for multiple users, it will take one domain at a time and the rest of the domains will be listed in the Pending Queue column.
You can refresh and check the status of the pending jobs by clicking on the Refresh
icon present
You can also search for a specific domain SSL status by searching through the domain through the search icon
Step 7:
You can also check the log files of the SSL installation process in detail.
To check the logs, click on the “Logs
” column in the interface.
All the logs will be listed under the “AutoSSL Logs” section. Select the log which you want to view and click on View Log
button.
The data in the log file will appear below the button.
You can click on the “Refresh
” icon to refresh the log list and get the updated one.
