DNS Lookup FAQs
A DNS lookup reads the records a domain has published, such as the IP address of its website, the servers that receive its email and its nameservers.
DNS answers are cached. After a change, older answers can stay in use until their TTL runs out, often a few minutes and sometimes up to 48 hours. Use the advanced DNS lookup to check propagation.
