How to create a Parked domain in cPanel
Introduction
A Parked Domain in cPanel allows you to point additional domain names to your primary website. This is useful when you own multiple domain names and want them all to display the same website content. For example, visitors accessing example.net can be redirected to or display the same content as example.com.
Prerequisites
Before creating a Parked Domain in cPanel, ensure the following:
- Access to your cPanel account.
- Ownership of the additional domain you want to park.
- The domain is registered with a valid domain registrar.
- The domain’s DNS or nameservers are pointed to your hosting server.
- The primary domain is already configured and active in your cPanel account.
IMPLEMENTATION
2) Go to Domains.
3) Click on “Parked Domain” tab
4) Enter the domain name in “Create a Parked Domain”
5) Save it
Conclusion
Creating a Parked Domain in cPanel is a simple way to direct multiple domain names to a single website. It helps protect your brand, capture additional traffic, and provide visitors with alternative ways to access your site. After configuring the parked domain and updating the DNS settings, the new domain will display the content of your primary website once DNS propagation is complete.
