Introduction

In WHM, packages define the resource limits and features assigned to cPanel accounts. You can easily upgrade or downgrade an account package through WHM whenever resource or feature changes are required.

Prerequisites

  • Root access to WHM
  • Existing hosting packages already created in WHM
  • A cPanel account is available on the server

Implementation

Step 1

Log in to WHM.

Navigate to:

WHM → Account Functions → Modify an Account

Step 2

If multiple accounts exist on the server, select the account that you want to modify.

Step 3

Under the Resource Limits section, locate the Package option.

Click on:

Change

Step 4

Select the package that you want to assign to the account.

Then click the blue button:

Upgrade/Downgrade

to save the changes.
